Hello all!
Fall gave way to early winter and early winter rolled right into endless winter. Haha.
We just had 18 inches of snow out in my area on Long Island and while everyone else shovels madly and salts everything they can… I am sitting in front of my wood burning stove uploading new games to the site! I mean… fortunately, I don’t need to drive anywhere to “work.” Mind you, I don’t think of this as work.. but that’s a whole different storyline… 😉
Wood burning stove time continues, and as always, brings great peace and relaxation…. something about a roaring fire. Ahhhhhh… nice. Also, if I don’t light the wood burning stove, my house won’t get above 55 degrees in winter… hehe. Soooooo…
I’d like to draw your attention to a quote from my last game upload session –> “I want the snow filled streets of my childhood, people!! I am retired and don’t have to shovel.. soooo… yes, bring it on! Please don’t share this with any of my neighbors as they will likely form a torch-carrying mob vis-a-vis those who marched on Frankenstein’s monster… and accuse me of causing a bad winter. Haha. But really… let’s keep this between us…”
Looks like I am getting my wish this winter! Ha! I kinda’ forgot I had even said anything at all.. Oi! Aging is happening folks.. wahhhhh… OK.. enough blathering… I have to hurry because a neighborhood mob is at my door with torches! 😉😂🔦

The latest release from Caesar and Kuly and the super awesome team at Alley Cat Games is here! Ada’s Dream… the Kickstarter Exclusive Deluxe Edition!!! This is not the lowly retail version folks.. this is the KS-limited Deluxe edition… just to be crystal clear. I mean, I don’t carry retail versions of much… haha… but just in case you’re new to the Upstart life… I wanted to make that distinction. Oh.. and I added the metal coins to keep things tasty!
In Ada’s Dream, work with Ada Lovelace to help build the first computer, fulfilling her dream in this alternate history Euro Game.
Over the course of the game (18 turns), players take dice from the Workshop Rondel, Give Lectures in Prestigious Institutions, Travel the UK, and Complete Assignments from Ada to gather Prestige Points.
Players add Dice, Gears, and Programs to their blueprint Board in a race to build the first Analytical Engine, using dice rondel and manipulation mechanics and literal “engine building”. When any engine is completed, the end of the game is triggered and Prestige points are counted. The player with the most prestige, wins.
