Briefest Write-Ups continue… dark days of limited rambling ahead! βοΈπͺοΈ
Hello all! It has been a hectic and fun summer… and well… now it’s already fall?!?! Where is my life going? Anyway, existential crises aside, I just HAVE to get a ton of new stuff onto the site… and so… September and October 2023’s write-ups will be yet another smashing performance in my “shortest ever write-ups” tour! πΈπΆ
So sorry for the lack of poetic ramblings and video links and such! π
I’m doing the best I can…
“…and I guess my best wasn’t goooood enough” [thank you James Ingram and Quincy Jones… now I’m teary eyed…π]
“Bundle” details?
There are 4 separate games in this offering… and so, there actually aren’t any bundles. π Hehe…
Anyway, each of these Flatout Games releases is the Kickstarter version of the game – and each includes the appropriate promos inside the game box! Sooooo Β nice! No time to wax poetic.. these are all fantastic small-box games that you will find yourself bringing to the table over and over… class dismissed! πππ

Description
The latest Flatout Games releases are HERE! Β And, they are all the Kickstarter Versions! Cascadia, Deep Dive, Point City, and Fit to Print! Sweeeeeeeet Kickstarter goodness all around!
Cascadia is a puzzly tile-laying and token-drafting game featuring the habitats and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest.
In the game, you take turns building out your own terrain area and populating it with wildlife. You start with three hexagonal habitat tiles (with the five types of habitat in the game), and on a turn you choose a new habitat tile that’s paired with a wildlife token, then place that tile next to your other ones and place the wildlife token on an appropriate habitat. (Each tile depicts 1-3 types of wildlife from the five types in the game, and you can place at most one tile on a habitat.) Four tiles are on display, with each tile being paired at random with a wildlife token, so you must make the best of what’s available β unless you have a nature token to spend so that you can pick your choice of each item.
Deep Dive is a press-your-luck set-collection game in which you use your waddle of penguins to dive deep into the ocean to amass the most bountiful collection of food!
Turns are simple: Flip over an ocean tile, and see what you reveal. You can take what you reveal in the shallows or dive deeper, hoping for a larger catch β but the deeper you go, the more plentiful the predators become. As you surface with food, you build sets of three colors. Target the colors you need to complete sets and score the maximum number of points.
When one of the depths of the ocean has been fully explored, the game ends and the penguin waddle with the best sets of food wins!
Point City: From the team that brought you the smash hit Point Salad, Point City is a card-drafting, engine-building game with more than 150 unique building cards, giving you the opportunity to create a completely different city each time you play!
The rules are simple: Take two adjacent cards from the dynamic city grid and add them to your expanding city. Use your resource cards and bonuses to construct building cards that require specific combinations. Build special civic structures to multiply your city’s points and be the top urban planner!
Point City takes the same simple concept of drafting cards and building the best combinations, then adds new layers of resource management and engine building to the mix β making the game easy to learn, but challenging for everyone!
Fit to Print is a puzzly tile-laying game about breaking news, designed by Peter McPherson and set in a charming woodland world created by Ian OβToole!
Thistleville is the worldβs most bustling little town β itβs a challenge to keep up with everything going on, from who took home first prize for their baked goods at the community fair to who has been digging in Mrs. Brambleberryβs carrot patch.
As an editor at one of the local newspapers, your job is to tell their stories!
The front page is due in just a few hours and you have no time for perfection. Grab the big stories before the other papers get a chance, and make sure you get the right photos too. A newspaper is a business, so the money has to come from somewhere β donβt forget the ads! After youβve picked out a combination of stories, photos, and ads, itβs time to lay out the front page. Did you take enough tiles to fill the paper, but not so many that things have to be cut? Over the course of three hectic days, your skills will be tested as you compete to be the most newsworthy editor!
